Summerfill season opens in June and runs through August — the best window of the year to fill your propane tank at our summer rate before fall demand picks up. We're sending mailers out in late April and early May with all the details. Here's a head start on what to expect.
If you've been a propane customer with us for any length of time, you already know the pattern: fall arrives, temperatures drop, and everyone needs propane at the same time. Delivery windows tighten, demand spikes, and the customers who had the foresight to fill up over the summer are sitting a lot more comfortably than the ones who waited.
Summerfill is our way of making that easy. Starting in June, we open the summer propane program — a straightforward opportunity to fill your tank at our summer rate and get ahead of the heating season before it begins.
We're sending out our summerfill mailer in late April and early May with pricing, program details, and ordering information. If you're a current propane customer, it's headed your way. Hold onto it — it has everything you need to get on the schedule when June arrives.
Why summer is the right time to fill
Propane prices follow demand, and demand follows the weather. Summer is consistently the softest time of year for propane usage across our area, which means supply is steady, delivery scheduling is flexible, and you're not competing with every other customer in the region for a fill.
By the time October rolls around, that changes fast. Getting filled in June, July, or August means you're locking in a summer rate, freeing up your fall calendar, and making sure your tank is ready before anyone else needs it. For farmers heading into grain drying season, that timing matters even more.

How ordering works when June arrives
When summerfill opens, ordering is simple. You can place your order online through our website, call our business office at 701-734-6312, or stop in at the Wilton or Wing location. Once your order is in, it goes into our routing schedule and delivery typically happens within 5 business days. Your driver fills your tank to 85%.
Check your tank gauge beforehand — having your current percentage on hand helps us schedule your delivery efficiently.
Make sure the path to your tank is clear and accessible for our delivery truck.
If you're a new customer, a leak check is required before your first fill. Call us ahead of time and we'll get that scheduled so there's no delay when summer arrives.
Save more with the cash discount
On orders of 300 gallons or more, we offer a $0.10 per gallon discount when you pay by cash or check within 10 days of delivery. On a 500-gallon fill, that's $50 back. Credit card payments don't qualify, but it's a straightforward way to save if you're able to pay quickly after your delivery.
